Churches, shrines, temples and heritage sites hold stories that matter. A website helps people visit, take part and remember.

Why go online?

  • Visitors can plan — directions, timings and what to expect.
  • The community stays informed — feast days, novenas, events and announcements.
  • History is preserved — photographs, stories and archives for future generations.
  • Support from far away — people who have moved away can still stay connected.

What to include

  1. Service, Mass or prayer times
  2. How to visit — map, transport and parking
  3. The history of the place, with photographs
  4. Events and announcements
  5. A gallery of the community
  6. Contact details and, if needed, donations

Language and accessibility

Many communities use more than one language. A bilingual site — for example Tamil and English — welcomes both locals and visitors. Large text and simple navigation help older visitors.

Example: Infant Jesus Shrine, Kavirayapuram

Through Ighna Digital Mission, we built a bilingual Tamil–English website for the Infant Jesus Shrine in Kavirayapuram, with Mass and novena times, visitor information, a gallery and donations.

How Ighna Digital Mission helps

Ighna Digital Mission is our CSR initiative for churches, heritage sites and community institutions in India and Malaysia. Learn about the mission or nominate an institution.
